This morning, I woke up to a notification that my phone created a new video for me! I am not sure how or why iphones do this, but it brought tears to my eyes. We are so fortunate to have such great pups and being able to share the joy they bring is nothing short of amazing. Thank you to everyone who trusted us to help grow their families this year. My heart is so full.
Our little pack is down to four! We said five goodbyes bright and early this morning. Everyone who has made it home seems to be doing great and the four here haven't skipped a beat. It was a little rainy this morning, but the sun has come out and they are having a great time exploring the yard, finding the mud puddles, and taking in all the extra attention that is available when half the babies are gone! :)
It's a bittersweet day here, as we spend out last moments with the whole litter together. The weather is ABSOLUTELY beautiful. It's bright, dry, and the perfect temperature to be outside running around. Lola and the pups (and the kiddos) have been in and out all day long! I actually captured this video yesterday, but they have been at it all day again. I love watching them all play and can't wait to see pictures and videos of the pups in their new homes!
We had our first round of puppy shots today!
Everyone did fantastic and our nine brown babies were a hit with the staff.
They weighed in between 4.3 and 6.6 pounds!
Clear fecals, strong hearts, and lots of wagging tails.
Before the vet, we set out the baby pool and hose and let Lola show the pups the ropes! Lola rolled all around the pool, clearly trying to convince them to join, but no one was brave enough to hop in the water this time! A few were very interested in the hose and most just wanted to chase Mom or the baby around the yard! Something tells me next summer, when a pool is available, not one of them will hesitate to jump in!
It is officially fall!
(Even though it's raining like spring with the temperatures of summer!)
And if you know me it all, you know I love a good "theme."
I couldn't wait a single day longer to do the pumpkin photo shoot!
Everyone is doing great! This is such a sweet litter. These will certainly be some hard goodbyes.
This week we will transition everyone to their own crate and crack down on house training!
Look at those beautiful puppy coats! Everyone is looking and feeling so soft.
They have all officially made the transition from being more interested in each other to being more interested in interacting with the people! They are always trying to win over human attention. Luckily, there is a lot of people in this family, so we have plenty of love to go around!
This week we will begin crate training and house training! This is a huge milestone and a big sign that our time with them is coming to an end! In just two short weeks, many of these babies will be meeting their forever families.
Look at them grow!
It's only been a few days since their last pictures and they all look so much bigger.
We started puppy food and every loves meal time.
There is very rarely any leftovers with this crew!
Getting cuter by the minute!
Individual blogs have been updated to give a little insight into some personality traits we are seeing so far! Please keep in mind, they are still so young! We will continue to share updates as they continue to grow and personalities evolve.
The whole crew got to go outside to play this morning!
Everyone loved it.
This video was taken as soon as we let them out.
The green stuff all around definitely caught their attention first!
While no one ever ventured far from the pack or the people,
once they thoroughly investigated the grass,
they all had a great time pouncing on each other and climbing up and around the little people!
All you need is love... and a DOG!
Our little crew is 4 weeks old!
It is hard to believe they have already spent half of their time with us.
This week, I posted our traditional sign pictures. (ALWAYS my favorite!)
I plan to take some detailed personality notes over the next few days and I will update by Wednesday with early personality characteristics that we are seeing from each pup.
